A company buying product photography is solving a different problem from a company commissioning a recruitment film. Both need visual content, but they may involve different departments, production requirements, and approval paths. A broad “we photograph and film everything” message leaves the recipient to work out why you contacted them.

Outreach supports public business contact discovery, list review, email outreach, and communication records. This guide follows a hypothetical Seoul product studio proposing ecommerce photographs to household-goods brands in Gyeonggi. It is an adaptable sales workflow, not a claimed customer result or a promise of bookings.

What are you actually offering the buyer?

Define the use of the finished content before selecting businesses. In the example, the studio offers product photographs for ecommerce pages. Recruitment films, event coverage, and staff portraits belong in different proposals because their buyers and preparation needs can differ.

Distinguish a brand that develops its own products from a retailer that relies on manufacturer-supplied images. A factory is not automatically the buyer of ecommerce photography. Check who controls the content and whether your production method fits the product.

Prepare a clear scope: the kind of photographs, basic retouching, extra production work, product delivery, and usage terms. If you also make video, you do not have to list that entire capability in this introduction. Avoid fixing a price before you know dimensions, item count, and the requested scenes.

How do you search for buyers rather than other studios?

Use the customer's product category and business identity in your keywords. Candidate terms include local equivalents of “household goods brand,” “kitchenware manufacturer,” and “homewares brand.” Searching only for “product photography” may find your competitors instead.

Create a project and keyword groups with country, region, common words, and target. The illustrative campaign focuses on Gyeonggi. If products can be shipped to your studio, another territory may be workable. If the shoot must happen at the buyer's premises, travel capacity becomes a different restriction.

Inspect the search wording before collection. A broad homewares term may also find publishers and lifestyle content sites. Review the results and narrow the product description where necessary. A full list is not useful if the listed organisations do not commission the type of work you sell.

Which contact fields make sense for portfolio outreach?

Choose the channel you intend to use and purchase only the fields relevant to that plan. For an email introduction, set Email to Required and Phone and Instagram handle to Skip.

The current contact choices include Email, Phone, Instagram handle, and LinkedIn. The available choices are Skip, If available, and Required. Every required field must be present. A missing optional field does not block a business that meets the required conditions. Skip means the field is not purchased or supplied to you.

Each received field costs one credit. A public email does not guarantee access to a named content manager. A consumer support inbox may not handle photography proposals; check its role and ask for an appropriate route instead of pretending you have found the decision maker.

What should you check in Collection results?

Check the actual product, content use, and production fit without claiming to know the buyer's unmet need. After selecting Start collecting, review the businesses in Collection results. Does the company sell its own products online? Can you handle their size and surface characteristics? Does your portfolio demonstrate relevant work?

In the hypothetical campaign, the studio handles small household objects. Large furniture could introduce transport, space, and styling conditions the studio cannot accommodate. Decide that before selecting a recipient. Sparse website photography does not prove the company is unhappy with its images, so avoid telling it that its current work is poor.

Download to Excel creates an Excel-compatible CSV, with unpurchased fields blank. Add your own notes on product type, delivery questions, and portfolio relevance if a colleague will review the file.

How do you write a specific first proposal?

Explain one relevant deliverable and ask permission for a small next step. A studio can describe product-only images and contextual scenes, then ask whether the buyer wants examples suited to that category. Do not invent clients, campaign performance, or work you have not produced.

This adaptable example uses the hypothetical studio. Replace the sender details, confirm every claim, and include the disclosures and contact preferences required for your recipients.

Subject: Product photography for {company_name}'s ecommerce pages

Hello,

We are a Seoul studio photographing household products for ecommerce use.

We can prepare product-only images and contextual scenes, with items delivered to our studio. We confirm production scope and pricing after checking product dimensions, item count, and the photographs you need.

If you are considering an upcoming shoot, may we send relevant examples? Tell us the kind of images you need and we can explain the workable scope first.

Your real name, studio, and contact details Please reply if you do not want further messages.

The question concerns suitable examples, not an immediate booking. Confirm item count, file requirements, delivery dates, and usage rights later. The studio should not imply that raw files or unlimited usage are included unless that is part of its actual offer.

Before sending, connect your own mailbox in Settings → Connect email and save your settings. Follow the provider-specific instructions shown there, then send a self-test to your own inbox. Use the account that will handle replies to this campaign.

How do you check the portfolio and company name?

Use Preview and a test to your own connected inbox before contacting buyers. Insert {company_name} in the subject or body where appropriate; Outreach replaces it with the recipient company name. Check the resulting wording for a natural sentence and remove any old client information.

Confirm that the portfolio is accessible to an external recipient, that private client material is absent, and that the message is readable on a phone. The test checks your content. It is not an ordinary prospect campaign and does not discover new contacts.

Save first and follow-up content separately. Even saved content needs review: a kitchenware introduction may not suit a furniture company merely because the company name changes. Product relevance remains your responsibility.

What happens when you send emails?

Send only after reviewing recipients, the connected sender, and the applicable contact requirements. Email costs two credits per message. The basic interval is about ten minutes, is adjustable, and may vary. Starting a campaign does not mean every message arrives immediately or produces a reply.

Public contact discovery is separate from marketing permission. Check recipient-country consent, sender identification, and opt-out requirements. Refer to KISA for Korean guidance and the FTC compliance guide for US requirements. An advertising label alone does not permit every unsolicited message.

When does a reply become a booking?

A reply becomes a booking only after the production conditions are agreed. Already sent and reply filters show communication history. Sent filters include recent seven, thirty, and ninety days and send count. A recorded link click is a reaction to the portfolio link, not a shoot request or contract.

“Please send examples” is a material request. “What would these products cost to photograph?” is an estimate enquiry. Neither confirms a production date. Agree on product arrival, scope, delivery, price, and usage conditions before treating the job as booked.

Keep those production details in your own scheduling or job records. Do not assume automatic integration with a booking system. That separation prevents an early conversation from reserving capacity your team may need for confirmed work.

What makes a useful photography follow-up?

Add practical preparation information rather than repeating a sales introduction. Filter already-sent businesses without replies and manually use separate follow-up content where appropriate. Do not assume a follow-up campaign is active by default.

For the example studio, a short checklist about product surface condition and packaging can help a buyer assess preparation. A discount or deadline belongs in the message only if it is real. New information should clarify the decision, not pressure the recipient with invented urgency.

Review delivery failures before further contact; they do not automatically retry. Stop when a brand declines or asks you to stop. If it says its next shoot is next year, record that timing separately instead of counting it as a current order.

How can you start within the free signup balance?

Choose one product category and run a modest reviewed introduction. Signup gives one hundred free credits with no monthly subscription. Receiving thirty email fields and sending thirty emails would hypothetically cost ninety credits: thirty for the information and sixty for sending. It does not guarantee thirty matching brands or any bookings. Additional fields change the cost.

Use the service walkthrough for the overall sequence and email examples for message structure. Sign up, then describe your first project with a product category, deliverable, and production method. That one sentence keeps the search, review, and proposal focused on the same buyer need.
